An Indy Urban Oasis: Eagle Creek State Park

I will never get over how Indy has one of the largest city parks in the country spanning over 3,900 acres of forest and 1,400 acres of water. I live less than 10 minutes away and it's one of our favorite places to spend a Saturday hiking, kayaking, fishing and picnicking! We love taking advantage of the kids programs at the ornithology center! They offer free morning bird walks, a feathered friends and naturalist programs to learn about conservation efforts, and summer camps!
