Mena, Arkansas is a charming small town about two hours north of Texarkana, Texas. It's a gateway to adventure as it sits right within the Ouachita National Forest. There are two state parks nearby, Queen Wilhelmina State Park (which sits on top of a mountain) and Cossatot River State Park (great fishing and a fun spot to play). It's great as a day trip but also a nearby getaway where you'll fear far away. There is a wonderful glamping place in Mena called Ouachita Wilde Luxury Tents. For all the details to plan your trip to Mena, read this post. A tip: our favorite place to play is the falls area at Cossatot River State Park. (first picture).
