In Graham County, you will find small town life at its best. Whether it is in the County Seat of Hill City or one of the other smaller cities in the county, such as Bogue, Morland or the unincorporated communities of Nicodemus, St. Peter or Penokee. Nicodemus is also a National Historic Site and each community offers its own unique history and culture.
Located in the Center of Northwest Kansas, Graham County is in the middle of everywhere. Very affordable “High Speed” internet service is provided by NexTech, our regional service provider and unlike larger cities, the cost of living in Graham County is very affordable.
Graham County USD #281 is a fully accredited school district and offers dual credit courses for their students with an agreement with Colby Community College. Graduates have 136 different scholarship opportunities and the availability for continuing education allows Graham County graduates to dream of a vast array of career pathways following a technical or post-secondary education. Post-secondary educational opportunities include Colby Community College, North Central Kansas Technical College and Fort Hays State University, each within an hour of Hill City.
Local City Parks as well as Trexler Lake/Trail, and Antelope Lake, offer excellent outdoor recreational opportunities. If you are into hunting and fishing, Graham County is the “Ringneck” Pheasant Capital of the World and Graham Co. sells more fishing licenses per capita than any other County in Kansas.

The Northwest Kansas Region is currently recruiting remote workers who:
Are employed full-time and able to relocate while retaining their current position, or
Are self-employed and able to relocate while retaining their current clients/portfolio
Earn at least $50,000 annually
Are 18 years or older
Currently reside outside of the 24 county Northwest Kansas Region
Can relocate primary residence to the 24 county Northwest Kansas Region within 6 months
In order to be considered by the Northwest Kansas Region, you must provide proof of the above eligibility criteria

What is MakeMyMove?
MakeMyMove is a marketplace product that connects remote workers and other work-from-anywhere talent with communities that are attracting new residents. We help workers find the right place, and we help communities build and promote programming to attract those workers.
How much does it cost?
We’re 100% supported by communities. If you are a worker that is thinking about making a move, our service is free.
What is a remote worker?
Remote workers are employed full-time and typically do their jobs from a computer. They can work from their house, an office, a co-working space, coffee shop, maybe sometimes from the bleachers at their kids' swim meet. Remote workers who have moved through our programs have titles like Customer Service Agent, Software Engineer, Insurance Advisor, and more. Examples of roles that aren't considered remote include Delivery Driver, Mechanic, and Cashier.
