Why are communities offering incentive programs?
Empowered by newfound remote work, tens of millions of people (in the U.S. alone) are now free to move wherever they choose. This poses an opportunity for cities and towns to sell themselves, and recruit new residents. New residents mean growth, economically and culturally. Leaders are recognizing this opportunity, and assembling relocation programs that make the moves a little easier, and integrate new residents into the community.
