Crawford County: FUN FACT

Crawford County is home to the Wyandotte Caves, one of the largest cave systems in the United States. These caves are rich in history and natural beauty, featuring stunning formations of stalactites, stalagmites, and underground rivers. The caves were used by Native Americans for shelter and as a source of minerals, and they also played a role in the Civil War as a source of saltpeter, which was used to make gunpowder.
