Eastern Ky. counties finding success with remote workers

By Tom Latek, Kentucky Today

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) – Four Eastern Kentucky counties have seen such success in recruiting remote workers to move there, that more counties are joining the effort, which has already brought in nearly $1 million in economic benefits.

Nearly a year ago, four counties started testing a new economic development tool that focuses on relocating people who can bring their remote jobs, families and significant economic value with them to work from anywhere in the world. The experiment went so well that 29 additional Eastern Kentucky counties have also started recruiting remote workers to the region.
